ACCUMS_ACTIVENorthern New England is expected to receive the bulk of the snow from Thursday night/Friday's storm.  Ski areas will do well, but the biggest beneficiaries are likely to be the snowmobiling trails of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, Northern New Hampshire, and Northern/Northwestern Maine.  Farther south, less wintry precipitation is expected.  Central New England is likely to see a couple of inches of snowfall before a change to sleet and freezing rain, which should cause icy spots along/north of Route 2 in Northern Massachusetts (outside of Route 495) into Southern Vermont and Southern/Central New Hampshire.  Farther south, a brief burst of snow and mix late Thursday evening into the first part of the night is likely to flip to rain after midnight, with heavy rain Friday morning.
