(NECN) - Both West Nile virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) have been found in Hanover, Mass.
Health officials said Friday mosquitoes in Hanover have tested positive for both, and they say these types of mosquitoes have been known to bite both birds and humans.
As a result, Hanover is closing all recreational and school fields from sunset to sunrise for organized sports activities.
Officials are also working to increase spraying in certain areas.
