Company Giving Back With Stay Positive Apparel

(NECN) - Two young men from New Hampshire are giving back to the community with their company after one of them battled cancer.

CJay Diprima and Tom Mullin created their own clothing company, Stay Positive Apparel, but it's not all about profits.

"I was diagnosed with lymphoma December of 2012, and while going through treatment, you know, it was really hard to stay positive and, you know, keep up a good attitude and stuff, so after I had been in remission for a little while, me and Tom got together and decided to slap 'Stay Positive' on a shirt that we had lying around, and that's sort of how the idea took off," Diprima says.

Diprima and Mullin have been best friends since fifth grade and were college roommates.

"On the car ride home from where [we got the shirt made], a light blub clicked and I was like, 'Wait a second, we could do something good with this,'" Mullin says.

Now the two are raising cancer awareness through sales of their shirts.
