(NECN) - President Obama announced a new program that links top companies with community colleges, in hopes of bolstering America's job skills.
Obama discussed the plan called, "Skills for America's Future" at a meeting of the President's Economic Advisory Board Monday.
"The idea here is simple," Obama told the board. "We want to make easier to connect students looking for jobs, with businesses looking to hire."
The President said the most successful community colleges are those that connect with the private sector, and the plan will build on that success.
