A 5-year-old boy was flown to a Boston hospital after being seriously injured by a lawn mower in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Police responded around 2 p.m. Friday to South River Street, where they said the boy suffered a serious injury to his right leg in what they are calling an accident involving a riding lawn mower. Officers began performing life-saving measures before fire crews and paramedics arrived.
The boy was taken by medical helicopter to Boston Children's Hospital. Police said he was in serious but stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
