Officials in Maine say a 76-year-old Camden man with dementia who went missing Tuesday was found lost and injured in a swamp.
According to the Maine Game Warden, Peaceful Dawn was reported as missing around 10 p.m. after he was last seen around 1:30 p.m. near the entrance to Merry Spring Gardens, an assisted living facility where he lives.
A K9 picked up his scent at a nearby telephone pole. An officer hollered for Dawn and heart a faint response.
Dawn was found 400 feet away from the power lines in a swamp. Dawn had wandered into the swamp and could not move. During that time he suffered cuts to his legs and was also dehydrated and weak.
A rescue crew was brought in and he was brought to an awaiting ambulance for evaluation.
