2 Dead in Southwick, Mass. House Fire

A third person was able to escape the fire

Two people died in an early morning house fire in Southwick, Massachusetts, State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey announced Saturday.

The fire broke out at 6:22 a.m. in the home at 14 Bugabee Road.

A third person was able to escape the fire.

The victims' names have not been released, pending formal identification by the medical examiner and notification of next of kin. 

There's no immediate word on the cause.

The fatal fire is being investigated by Southwick Fire, Southwick police and State Police assigned to both the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.
