Police are looking for a suspect as a Massachusetts man recovers from being shot over the weekend.
Worcester police say a 23-year-old man is in fair condition after being shot Saturday evening.
Police say they got a call for a gunshot just after 6 p.m. on Merrifield Street. As they began collecting evidence, officers got a call that the victim walked himself to a nearby hospital's emergency room for treatment, according to police.
The victim reportedly was on Merrifield Street helping a relative when a car drove up beside him on the street. The suspect got out of the car and approached the victim, police say, when the victim noticed the suspect's gun and tried to run away, but was shot. Police say the suspect got back into the car after firing.
There's limited information about the suspect, and police say they haven't established a motive.
