Massachusetts Man Arrested for Stealing Cable From ‘Patriots Day' Movie Set

David Lyndell, 45, of Malden faces several charges

A Massachusetts man faces several charges in regards to stealing cable from a "Patriots Day" movie set.

Police in Malden were contacted and flagged down by a security guard on Tuesday.

The guard told officers that an individual had placed cable in a vehicle on Mason St. before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle the suspect fled in, described as a powder blue, older model car with a blue cloth landau roof, along with a license plate number, was provided to authorities.

Police learned the license plate was stolen from Malden weeks earlier. 

Police were able to locate the vehicle in a driveway of a residence at the corner of Pearl and Whitman Streets.

David Lyndell, 45, of Malden is charged with taking the license plate of another, larceny over $250, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
