A bus driver for the MBTA has been suspended while transit police investigate an altercation with a passenger.
The driver allegedly hit the passenger after the rider spat at her, as depicted in video from NECN viewer Ben Mohr.
"We are aware of a video allegedly depicting an MBTA operator engaged in a confrontation," said MBTA Transit Police Lt. Richard Sullivan in a statement. "The incident is currently under investigation."
The suspension is being served while officials investigate, according to spokesperson Joe Pesaturo.
