An elderly nun suffering from dementia who had been reported missing in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, has been found, according to state police.
Authorities say Sister Loretta Ciccarelli, 79, was found safe at 3:30 p.m. Friday on Scenic Highway in Bourne after she was last seen around 9 p.m. Thursday.
Sister Loretta had been last seen wearing a gray bathrobe, blue pajamas and glasses. Police had warned the public that she may have been driving a purple/maroon 2016 Toyota Rav4 with a Massachusetts license plate reading PC 4KE174.
Police said that Sister Loretta has no short-term memory.
