An older woman was transported to the hospital as a precaution after witnesses say she was carried out of a burning home late Friday night in Bellingham, Massachusetts, necn affiliate WJAR reports.
The two-alarm fire erupted at a home on Lakeview Avenue, which is near Silver Lake.
Bellingham Deputy Fire Chief Mark Poirier said the house was fully involved when crews arrived. Initial reports say the fire may have started in the kitchen.
Three people were home at the time.
Poirier says the woman was carried out by a relative.
Her condition is unknown.
One firefighter suffered a minor injuries.
