Police said they are investigating what caused a car to crash into a pizza shop in North Andover, Massachusetts, on Saturday morning.
North Andover police said a 911 call was received around 10 a.m. from the passenger of a vehicle that had crashed into Captain Pizza, at 733 Turnpike St. The restaurant was vacant at the time.
An 83-year-old woman was driving the car, accompanied by the 74-year-old woman who called police, authorities said. The car also struck a gas line, so the entire plaza was evacuated for a while but has since reopened.
The car that struck the building was towed away, police said, and no injuries were reported to either occupants of the vehicle or anyone else at the plaza.

Captain Pizza, however, is boarded up and closed until further notice.
The owner said that his restaurant is pretty much a total loss. He thinks the driver stepped on the gas pedal by mistake and the car jumped the curb then flew into his restaurant.
"My mind was blown. I thought it was a dream," said Scott Kareklas, who has owned Captain Pizza for 30 years. "I was like 'Is this really happening?'"
"I was getting supplies to come in. Thank God we opened late today, so thank God no one was in the store," said Kareklas. "The lady is fine. She was probably in reverse; didn’t realize she was in drive. Thanks God she was OK."
Kareklas expects it will be two months before he's back open, but he is grateful the restaurant wasn't open when the crash happened.
