A person has died after being hit by a train on the MBTA's Orange Line in downtown Boston.
Orange Line service was suspended Monday afternoon when the person became trapped under a train at the State Street station, the agency said.
The MBTA later said the victim had died, adding that foul play was not suspected.
Orange Line service was interrupted between North Station and Back Bay. The MBTA tweeted at 4:30 p.m. that regular service had resumed.
