Officials in Lawrence, Massachusetts, responded to the scene of a propane tank leak after someone tried to throw it away in the trash.
The call came in for the leak at 10 Cleveland St. Monday morning at 8:56.
Someone threw a medium-sized propane tank in the trash and when the garbage truck compactor came down, it crushed the tank, causing the leak.
Fire crews responded as a precautionary measure. When the leak stopped the tank was properly disposed.
Citations against the person are pending further investigation.
