Police in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, say a man has been arrested on non-homicide charges in the murder investigation of a 78-year-old woman.
According to necn affiliate WJAR, Tyler Grenon, 21, was brought in to the police station for questioning after he found the body of Constance Gauthier under a mattress in her home earlier this month.
Police say Grenon attempted to escape and was caught shortly after.
He is now facing charges of disorderly conduct, intimidation of a witness and escape.
Gauthier’s murder remains under investigation.
