Police say a 30-year-old man has been killed in a drive-by shooting in Providence, Rhode Island.
Police Maj. David Lapatin says Michael A. Camacho was driving at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when another vehicle pulled alongside and opened fire. Camacho lost control of his car and crashed head-on into another vehicle, injuring the other driver and passenger.
Camacho was declared dead at Rhode Island Hospital.
Police say they have leads into the shooting, but Lapatin declined comment on the description of the suspect's vehicle or why Camacho was targeted.
Police say 18 homicides have been recorded in Providence this year.
