A man was stabbed to death overnight in Hooksett, New Hampshire, and another man has been arrested, authorities announced Sunday.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella initially said they were investigating a "suspicious death" on Maine Street in Hooksett. Later Sunday, Formella released more details after an autopsy was completed.
Hooksett police were called to the area of 66 Main Street just after midnight Sunday for a report of someone laying partially in the roadway. Responding officers found a man, later identified as Jason Wirtz, unresponsive and bleeding from his neck. He was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester where he was pronounced dead.
The chief medical examiner determined Wirtz, 45, died of a single stab wound to the neck and his death was ruled a homicide, the AG said.

According to the attorney general, everyone involved in the incident has been identified, and there is no threat to the public. Late Sunday, the attorney general announced an arrest has been made in the case.
Dillon Sleeper, 26, formerly of Franklin, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder for "recklessly causing the death of Wirtz under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by stabbing him with a knife."
Authorities did not say if or how the two may have known each other. A possible motive was not revealed, either.

Sleeper is expected to be arraigned Monday in Merrimack County Superior Court. Attorney information was not immediately available.
Investigators are asking for help from the public as they continue to investigate what happened. Anyone who saw someone walking on Main Street in Hooksett between Daniel Webster Highway and College Park Drive between 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Monday, or anyone who drove across the Main Street Bridge in Hooksett during that same time frame is asked to contact the New Hampshire State Police major crime unit tip line at 603-628-8477.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
