Vermont State Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found in the woods Wednesday in the town of Washington.
Investigators say the woman was identified Friday as Tainairy "Tanya" Velazquez Estrada, 23, of Barre. Two hunters called police after finding her body around 2 p.m.
She had been reported missing by her mother to police in Fitchburg on Wednesday. Her mother said she had not heard from her in over a week.
An autopsy was performed Friday, and the determination of the cause and manner of death is still pending.

No suspects are in custody, and state police say there is no threat to the community, calling it an isolated incident.
