Power Restored to 100,000 Customers in Vermont

More than 100,000 customers in Vermont have had their power restored as of Friday morning following a powerful storm that delivered heavy snow to the Green Mountain State.

Northern New England was recently blanketed with snow following a storm that moved through the region on Tuesday. Ski resorts have opened for the season as a result, much to a winter sports lover's delight.

About 7,200 residents remain without power, according to Green Mountain Power. The utility company says hundreds of workers are currently trying to restore gas to all customers.
