A repeat Burlington, Vermont, sex offender convicted of trying to contact middle-school girls online for sex has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
According to necn affiliate NBC5, Michael Fisher, 39, will also serve 10 years of probation.
Fisher was arrested in March 2015 after undercover officers arrested him at a park. Police said they posed as teen students who Fisher contacted after several middle school students reported he reached out to them online.
When officers met an agreed location at a park with Fisher, he reportedly had condoms, beer, cigarettes and two phones.
Fisher was convicted in March on charges of attempting to persuade, induce, entice or coerce a minor to engage in illegal sex.
Fisher has a 2003 conviction for luring minors and a 2010 conviction for failing to register as a sex offender.
