Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont is weighing in on the presidential race, throwing his support to former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the first-term Democrat says Biden will be "the kind of president we need now more than ever," crediting him with fighting for "hard-working American families" his entire life.
Biden headlined a Democratic rally in Hartford shortly before last year's election, urging voters to support Lamont and other Democratic candidates. At that time, Biden likened Lamont to a line of federal politicians from Connecticut who he described as real, authentic people who don't belittle others.
