There was a heavy police presence in Methuen, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning, for a reported disturbance that ended in an arrest.
Methuen police confirmed there was no ongoing danger to the community after officers responded to a Brown Street residence around 4 a.m.
Once on scene, officers immediately secured the area and requested mutual aid from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT team.
According to police, one person fled on foot when officers arrived and was captured after a brief pursuit.

That person, whose name was not released, is currently in police custody at an area hospital.
A second person was also taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
Police initially told residents that everyone should remain inside while officers worked to secure the scene, noting that Brown, Merrill and Broadway streets were all shutdown due to an active scene with a heavy police presence. Later, residents were told there was no ongoing danger but that they may seen a police presence for several hours.
