Thieves stole three cars in West Haven overnight and police are offering steering wheel locks to residents to protect their vehicles.

Police are investigating the thefts, including two Hondas stolen from Allingtown, and a Nissan stolen in the center district and warn that the rate of Honda thefts a couple years ago was very high.

The department bought steering wheel locks, which are available to residents for free while the supply lasts.

West Haven residents can pick them up at the department between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
