Police locate suspicious vehicle in Worcester, teen arrested

Worcester Police say they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Greenbriar Lane at around 4:50 a.m.

Authorities located a suspicious white SUV after it allegedly approached two people in Worcester, Massachusetts early Thursday morning.

Worcester Police say they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Greenbriar Lane at around 4:50 a.m.

A woman was taking her morning walk when the vehicle passed her, then reverese and a man told her to get in the car so the woman ran to a nearby yard, according to authorities.

Police say shortly after, a man walking on the street was also approached by a white SUV where a man exited the vehicle and tried to grab him until he ran away to a backyard.

Authorities say the SUV was stolen from the parking lot of Olive Garden on Tobias Boland Way.

Police received information that the stolen car was parked in the area of Clegg St, near South High School, officers found it and had it towed.

After school, a sixteen-year-old approached plainclothes officers and said that he was looking for his white SUV that was towed, police say.

The teen was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

This investigation is ongoing.
