Boston Police continue to search for answers in a fatal triple shooting in the city's Mission Hill neighborhood on Wednesday night.
Officers responded to the intersection of Tremont and Parker streets at 7:47 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, three male victims were all suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment. One of the victims, a 20-year-old male, later died from his injuries.
Police said one victim remains in critical condition and the other in serious condition. Both are 17 years old.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said officers were able to respond quickly because they were a block away from the shooting scene — outside the Tobin Community Center where a community basketball game was getting out.
Evans said with the number of people attending the game, he hopes that someone may have information about the shooting.

"Probably about 200 kids right after it happened — while it was going on — pouring out of the community center, so there very well could be a lot of witnesses who might have left here that might have seen something," Evans said.
The police commissioner, who has been very vocal about his the number of guns on the streets, is particularly enraged about the uptick in violent gun crime because Congress just passed a bill making it easier for gun owners to legally carry concealed weapons across state lines.
"We shouldn’t be looking to loosen our gun laws in Washington, we should be looking to toughen them," Evans said. "When you have young kids like that shot... We should all be outraged and the last thing we need is more guns on the street."
