Police in Worcester, Massachusetts, are investigating after an 11-year-old girl was struck by a minivan.
The accident occurred near 1350 Main St. on Sept. 1.
A preliminary investigation reveals that she was attempting to cross the street in the crosswalk when she was struck by a Toyota Senna near the centerline of the road. The operator of the vehicle has been identified as a 48-year-old woman of Worcester.
The girl suffers from non-life threatening injuries to her head and limbs.
There were several witnesses in the area at the time of the crash, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
An accident reconstruction team was on site Wednesday.
