There was a heavy police presence in Brockton, Massachusetts Sunday night.
Police were responding to an incident shortly before 7 p.m. on North Main Street, where shell casings littered the road, along with shoes, a bag and scissors.
Officials could not confirm to NBC10 Boston that it was a shooting.
Sunday's investigation comes after a string of shootings in Brockton.
Police say a 24-year-old was shot in his car Saturday night near Woodland Avenue. He later died.
Another shooting occurred earlier on Saturday near Menlo Street.
On Friday, a 71-year-old man was hit by a stray bullet while sleeping in his home.
