Police in Connecticut have charged a driver they say was racing when he caused a crash that killed two people, including a pregnant woman, and injured five.

Police say 19-year-old Abdulaziz Yuldoshev, of Hamden, turned himself in Monday and was charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter in the April crash in Shelton.

Police say a southbound Mini Cooper with four occupants collided with a northbound Saturn with three occupants.

Police say the Saturn had pulled into the southbound lane to avoid Yuldoshev's car that was traveling north and racing another vehicle.
