Man Dies in Head-On Wrong-Way Crash

Police say the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Route 28 near Stub Toe Road

One man was killed and another was injured in a head-on wrong-way crash in Cotuit, Massachusetts, Monday night, according to Barnstable Police.

Police say the crash happened around 8 on Route 28 near Stub Toe Road.

Investigation showed a sedan driven by Thomas Levesque, 64, of East Falmouth, was heading west on Route 28 when it crossed the center line and veered into traffic.

Levesque first hit the left side mirror of one vehicle, veered further into traffic and crashed into a Mercedes Benz being driven by Phillip Doherty.

Levesque suffered severe head trauma in the crash and was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no passengers in Levesque's vehicle.

Doherty was also transported to Cape Cod Hospital. His current condition is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
