Man Pleads Guilty to 2 Counts of Child Sexual Exploitation

A Massachusetts man pled guilty in federal court Tuesday to sexually exploiting two boys over more than a five-year period, according to Acting United States Attorney William D. Weinreb.

Philip Toronto, 43, of Billerica, was indicted for rape and assault on both counts.

A search warrant conducted earlier this year revealed that Toronto had recorded homemade child pornography videos and traded them online via Skype, according to authorities.

The collected evidence allegedly included several videos and images of Toronto abusing and raping two young boys on camera.

After being confronted by law enforcement, Toronto reportedly admitted to sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy in September 2016 and a 10-year-old boy a few years earlier.

Sentencing for Toronto is scheduled for Feb. 15, 2018.
