Two New Hampshire school officials have been placed on paid leave as the Concord School District board investigates how allegations against a teacher later charged with sexual assault were handled.

The Concord Monitor reports that the president of the board announced the decision regarding Superintendent Terri Forsten and Concord High Principal Tom Sica in a note to parents Friday.

The board began investigating after special education teacher Primo "Howie" Leung was charged in April with sexually assaulting a student off school property.

    Leung has pleaded not guilty.

Following his arrest, it became known that a 13-year-old girl complained about Leung's behavior with other students at Rundlett Middle School in 2015 and was suspended for doing so. The suspension has since been cleared.

Neither Forsten nor Sica could be reached for comment. There were no phone numbers listed under their names.
