A trial is about to get underway this week for a man charged in the deaths of two homeless people found inside a burning truck in Bangor, Maine.

Jury selection was to begin Monday in the trial of John De St. Croix in Superior Court.

The victims, 43-year-old Michael Bridges and 36-year-old Desiree York, were found dead in the back of the burning truck nearly a year ago.

Court documents indicate De St. Croix told authorities he'd been drinking with the victims in the hours before the pair was found dead.
