    Repairs have been completed and water service is being restored after a major water main break in Brockton, Massachusetts, according to Mayor Bill Carpenter.

    The break occurred Sunday morning on North Main Street near Upland Road. About 50 homes and businesses were left without water.

    Water service was shut off on North Main between Ames and Battles streets, with side streets in the area also being impacted.

    Crews said repairs took longer than expected due to frozen ground conditions.
