Vermont police say a 54-year-old Massachusetts woman has died of injuries suffered in a head-on crash on U.S. Route 7 in the town of Pownal.
The crash was reported just before 9 a.m. Friday.
State police say a car being driven Kristie Kuziel, of Williamstown, Massachusetts, was northbound when it drifted into the oncoming lane and collided with a southbound vehicle. Kuziel was flown to Albany Medical Center where she later died of her injuries.
The driver of the southbound vehicle suffered less serious injuries and was taken to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. During the crash, the second vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle that was parked by the side of the road.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
