Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee will be visiting New Hampshire Wednesday for the first time since announcing his presidential candidacy.
Chafee will be attending a potluck supper in Milford at 6 p.m., according to a spokesperson.
He will be running as a Democrat and will be going up against heavily-favored Hillary Clinton.
Chafee served in the Senate from R.I. as a Republican from 1999 until 2007. He became an independent that same year. He then served as the 74th governor of Rhode Island from 2011 to 2015, during which he switched to the Democratic Party in 2013.
