With comfortably low humidity, sunshine and warm air during the day, cool and clear skies at night, and a near full strawberry moon, this is possibly the best kind of weather we can ask for in New England.

Oh yeah, did we mention that the pollen count is as low as it's been since the winter season?

Thanks to a storm that delivered record-breaking late season snow to Newfoundland, on its backside is high pressure from Canada delivering this great dose of late June weather.

Tuesday afternoon features sunshine and temperatures close to 80 degrees, a little cooler at the beach with an onshore breeze.

Margaret Newsum, 93, had no idea that the Camp Fire was rapidly approaching her Magalia home until her caretaker left for the day and she turned on the television. She was quickly rescued by her friend Dane Ray Cummings, who decided to break company policy and rescue Newsum with his Waste Management truck. KCRA reports.

A big bright moon to the lower left of bright planet Jupiter lights up our sky Tuesday night, with low temperatures in the 40s and 50s - not as cold as last night.

Sunshine Wednesday, as temperatures jump up into the lower 80s, maybe a little cooler at the south facing shore, with the wind from the south 10 to 15 mph. Clouds increase late in the day.

Low pressure coming at us from the west and the south on Thursday will trigger showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. Some parts of New England may have appreciable rain in the order of a half inch to 1 inch. Humidity also builds, with the dewpoint close to 70 degrees.

Fog and drizzle are possible, mild and muggy Thursday night, with a low temperature near 70 degrees.

High pressure returns with sunshine increasing Friday, and temperatures rebound back to the 80s.

Hot weather is likely to arrive for the weekend, with plenty of sunshine, high temperatures in the low to mid 90s, cooler at the shore with a possible onshore breeze.

We probably have fog forming near the coast each night, slowly burning off each day.

The next front arrives Tuesday, July 3 with increasing clouds and a chance of thunderstorms, plus high temperature still close to 90 degrees.

July 4 may feature fog to sunshine, with thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening and temperatures likely close to 90 degrees.
