A tropical storm warning has been issued for Cape Cod and the Islands with Hurricane Dorian expected to make its closest pass to New England Friday night and early Saturday morning.
The immediate coast from Block Island and Nantucket to Downeast Maine is expected to get the biggest impact. These coastal areas will see ocean swells up 10 to 15 feet with possible wind gusts past 50 mph, creating minor coastal flooding and moderate coastal erosion.
