Dundee, Mich. Hit by Powerful Storm

(NECN/WDIV: Dundee, Mich.) - Authorities say five people were killed in Ohio as severe overnight thunderstorms and tornadoes raked the Midwest.  

In Michigan, 11 people were injured when a storm struck Monroe County.

A county emergency management spokesman also said the storm damaged the outside wall of a nuclear power plant, prompting an automatic shutdown.

He said the plant will remain closed until crews have assessed the damage.  

He also said field crews are assessing the number of homes and businesses damaged in Dundee village and Dundee Township.
