Floodwaters Hit Sewage Treatment Plant in Jewett City, Conn.

(NECN: Brian Burnell, Jewett City, Conn.) - Parts of Eastern Connecticut received up to ten inches of rain. A Jewett City sewage plant is flooded and dozens of people have been evacuated.

Governor M. Jodi Rell is expected to survey the situation this afternoon.

The National Guard is on the scene and has been filling sandbags.

No storm-related deaths have been reported in the state.
