Maine Gov. LePage Ends State of Emergency

(NECN) - Maine Governor Paul LePage has lifted the state of emergency following a heavy ice storm.

The news comes just in time for another winter storm to come barreling in.

The governor said conditions have improved and health and public safety are no longer an issue.

More than 100,000 people lost power during the late-December ice storm that struck much of northern New England.

Much of Maine is only to get a few inches of snow from this latest storm.
