Joe Kennedy III gets married

(NECN) - Congressman-elect Joe Kennedy III got married over the weekend.

He and Lauren Anne Birchfield celebrated their nuptuals with friends and family in California on Saturday.

His campaign released the following statement regarding his nuptuals:

"The Congressman-elect and his fiancée, Lauren Anne Birchfield, were married on Saturday afternoon in Corona del Mar, California, surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony was held at Community Church and officiated by the bride's father, Rev. Jim Birchfield. The bride and groom are extremely grateful for all the well wishes and for the outpouring of support and friendship they have received this year."
