(NECN/AP) - The Massachusetts man who died in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya last week is being laid to rest.
A funeral Mass for Glen Doherty is being held Wednesday morning at St. Eulalia church in his hometown of Winchester.
The 42-year-old Doherty was a former Navy SEAL who was working as a private security contractor at the consulate when he and three other Americans were killed Sept. 11.
Hundreds of mourners, including Gov. Deval Patrick, attended his wake on Tuesday.
Flags line his family's neighborhood in Woburn and his funeral route in Winchester.
