(NECN) - There's a big push in Massachusetts to ease traffic to and from Cape Cod.
The Department of Transportation wants to build a twin bridge attached to the current Sagamore Bridge.
The plan calls for three tolled lanes going onto the Cape and the Bourne Bridge would remain free in both directions.
It's a plan the Cape's Chamber of Commerce has been hoping for, but residents who frequent Cape Cod aren't so sure.
If plans move forward, it could take five to seven years to complete.
