Search Continues for Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight

(NECN/NBC News: Keir Simmons) - Despite several leads, there have been no confirmed traces of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

The plane, which had 239 people on board, disappeared from radar as it traveled from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on Friday.

Relatives are waiting for news of loved ones who have simply disappeared. The news so far is that debris that was spotted, even a life-raft, on closer inspection, turned out not to be connected.

Meanwhile, an oil slick that was spotted off the coast of Vietnam is also not connected.

"Our aim to find aircraft will be intensified," said Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, the director general for the Department of Civil Aviation.

Off the coast, a coalition of nations, ships and aircraft from around the world, including from the seventh fleet, are searching for clues that they simply cannot find.
