    Police arrested two people and seized approximately 400 marijuana plants from a home in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Thursday.

    Worcester Police said they began an investigation after receiving complaints at a neighborhood watch meeting and through information submitted to its tip line.

    Around 9 a.m. Thursday, Worcester Police executed a search warrant at 2 Westbrook Circle and located a sophisticated indoor marijuana growing operation in the basement. Approximately 400 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were removed. The home also contained lights, fertilizer, fans, electrical transformers, packaging material and digital scales and numerous other instruments for a marijuana growing operation. Two pounds of marijuana were also removed.

    Van Truong, 32, was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon for hitting two officers with a door as they attempted to enter the home. He was also charged with resisting arrest, manufacturing a Class D substance, possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws and interfering with a police officer.

    Richard Marko, 31, was charged with manufacturing a Class D substance, possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws.
