Alleged Driver in Fatal Crash Facing Plea Deal Deadline

Darriean Hess, 20, is charged in the deaths of Pamela Wells and Elise Bouchard.

A New Hampshire woman has until Friday to agree to a plea deal, on charges she struck and killed two cyclists last year in Hampton, according to the Union Leader.

Darriean Hess, 20, is charged in the deaths of Pamela Wells and Elise Bouchard.

Prosecutors say Hess was under the influence of drugs at the time.

She pleaded not guilty to all charges.

If she does not take the plea deal her case will go to trial.

Just eight hours before the crash last year, Hess was stopped by police for speeding in the same area. But they could not arrest her for being unlicensed.

A new bill just signed into law in New Hampshire has made that offense a misdemeanor offense.
