Bar Killing Suspect Arraigned

A suspect in an unprovoked bar attack in Quincy, Massachusetts, which left a father of three dead, was arraigned Thursday.

Paul Fahey, 42, is charged with the murder of Keith Boudreau, also 42. Prosecutors say Fahey, a member of a biker gang, brutally beat the victim on March 23, leaving him unconscious.

Boudreau, who was homeless at the time, died from his injuries the following week.

"Completely unprovoked, this defendant went over to the victim, punched him in the face, and then while the victim was lying on the ground, stomped on his head, he also then took the victim and dragged him on the hard floor of the bar, dragged him through the bar and out to a back alleyway where he left him," Norfolk County Assistant District Attorney Craig Kowalski said at an earlier arraignment.

Fahey pleaded not guilty to assault and other charges after the attack, and then to murder after Boudreau's death.

The defendant has been held without bail. He is due back in court Aug. 25 for a pre-trial conference.
