Boston Prepares for Ferguson Decision

The city says it will be ready once a grand jury decides whether Officer Darren Wilson will face criminal charges for fatally shooting unarmed teen Michael Brown.

Grove Hall is one of Boston's best-known African American neighborhoods so people here will be watching very closely what happens in Ferguson, Missouri.

A Missouri grand jury is expected to decide shortly if Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, will face criminal charges for fatally shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown. Demonstrations and protests are set to take placed around the country, including here in Boston.

Sadiki Kambon is director of The Black Community Information Center. He says what happened in Ferguson could happen in Boston. He expects Officer Wilson will be exonerated.

Boston police have been working with neighborhood leaders to prepare for any fallout. Members of the city's black community are not expecting trouble. But not for the reasons you might think.
