Another passing storm left even more snow in the region, adding on to already-large totals and collapsing some roofs and buildings under the weight.
A section of roof at a Massachusetts music store that's home to a rhinestone-covered grand piano once owned by Liberace has collapsed under the weight of snow.
Rockland Fire Chief Scott Duffey says no one was in the building when a roughly 100-foot-by-100-foot section of the pitched roof fell into the showroom at the Piano Mill on Tuesday.
Duffey and store owner Rob Norris say it is unclear if the Liberace piano was damaged.
The collapse was reported at about 6:30 a.m., although Duffey says neighbors reported hearing a crash at about 1:30 a.m.
Rockland received 29 inches of snow Monday.
No one is being allowed inside until a structural engineer assesses damage.
Norris says the Liberace piano, which appeared in the movie "Behind the Candelabra," has 88,888 rhinestones and has been appraised for $500,000.
Adding to the total, crews in Hingham responded to a roof collapse of a historical building Tuesday morning.
Officials said they were on scene at 65 South St.

Meanwhile, in Hingham, a roof collapsed at the old Lincoln Building in Hingham Square, which was built in 1859.
Apartments on the second and third floors were condemned years ago, but the first floor was occupied by a business. No one was injured, and crews taped off the area to keep people from walking near the building.
Crews who answered the call at the Lincoln Building also had another call come in for a partial collapse at a non-operational building 19 facility. According to Hingham Fire, there was a skeleton crew working inside, but everyone got out safely.
There have been 17 roof collapses in Massachusetts so far this season, according to MEMA.
